I truly believe that people are an organization’s most valuable resources – if you want to succeed in business, the focus needs to be on the business strategies and how to engage employees to advance those strategies. This does not mean implementing a lot of processes – but rather finding innovative and simple solutions to focus and engage employees.

As a consultant and coach, I focus on understanding the business and ensuring it achieves its goals by aligning the culture, leadership, people and processes with business strategies. I am a thoughtful, innovative and strategic problem solver who believes it is critical to listen before providing a solution. To be effective, solutions must be tailored to the needs and simple. I have earned the reputation for being a compassionate change agent that can influence behaviors needed for organizations to be successful.

I have more than 20 years’ experience consulting and coaching executives, leaders and managers in both for profit and not for profit sectors, both domestically and internationally.  In addition to my work experience, I earned both my Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and Masters of Business Administration from the University of St. Thomas.  I am a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and Global Professional in Human Resources (GPHR) from the Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI), and a certified Change Practitioner from PROSCI.

My interest in finding simplicity drives my work. In each of my roles, both in the U.S. and outside, the people and organization challenges facing businesses do not require another form or overly complicated process. Instead, it takes understanding and dissecting to uncover root issues and solve them – for good. I love exploring, innovating, and challenging the status quo to find the best solution for each client I serve.  

With my clients, I have earned a reputation for understanding a business’s needs and finding creative, practical solutions to move forward. My approach is both straightforward and respectful, providing guidance and considerations to enable your own leadership effectiveness to improve.

My 15 years of experience has involved coaching and consulting executives, leaders and managers in food and agricultural industries, in both manufacturing and corporate environments. I also have specialist experience in talent acquisition and international HR. In addition to my professional experience, I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Music from Wittenberg University (Ohio), and a Master of Human Resources and Industrial Relations from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. I am certified through the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM) as a Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP).
